Another year has passed so quickly. I cannot believe you are 32. It seems like yesterday I held you in my arms, looked into your beautiful eyes, and dreamed of what you would be like as you grew and became a young man. You are a gift; loving, giving, compassionate, and caring son and I am thankful you are my son!

Have you ever had the feeling that you knew what was going to happen but pray that it does not before it even does? What do you do with those thoughts and feelings? Interrupt your thought and change the path? Continue on it and see where it brings you? Dismiss it? Make it real by writing it down or discussing it with someone? Anyone? Where do you go with it?
Many days, thoughts, ideas, feelings, etc. race through my mind rapidly. Some I can catch and think through completely, others – well, they dash and disappear into the unknown, resurfacing on a different day at another time…..
Another wonderful year has passed and you continue to amaze me with your knowledge, kindness, compassion, love, strength, caring for others, always, never with hesitation. Even with all the stress and pressure from life, work, personal, etc., you always remain a calming force. You my son, remind me of your Grandfather, my father! Solid, peaceful, loving, quiet, yet always knowing when you are needed and always willing to reach out…. especially when it comes to your Grandmother! Silent and Strong.

Dear Pa,
Today is your 89th birthday!! July 17th!! Happy Happy Birthday Pa!!! We love and miss you very much. Stephen, Tyson, Mom, and I celebrated your birthday today at lunchtime!! I wear your ring every day, Mom prays for you every day, Stephen and Tyson wear your tie-dyed socks on special occasions and sometimes “just because”. Stephen has been playing a lot of baseball….. We are all missing you…. I have your pictures around my home; when I look at them, I am filled with happiness knowing that I had you for many many wonderful years. I love the picture that Sandra took of you and mom in-between the rose of sharon bushes in your backyard. The look on your face is priceless!! I cannot help but smile!! I love you, miss you, wish you were with us, OXOXOX, For Ever and For Always, CArole – your most favorite daughter!!

Today is my first born son Stephen’s birthday. Once again, I must share with all of you the pride and love I have for my son. He is intelligent, loving, caring, compassionate, logical, patient, handsome, talented, and lots more….. I thank God every day for having a son so wonderful.
